NE launch: This launch is steeper and considered PG2/HG-S in winter conditions and PG4/HG-Int when thermic. PG3 can take off from this NE-facing launch with supervision from PG4+ in thermic conditions. No top landing is permitted for PG2 and PG3 in thermic conditions. T/O is ~100m above LZ.
SW launch: This launch is PG2/HG-S in any conditions. This side of the hill is more rounded, giving many possible take-off spots and easy top landings. T/O is ~80m above LZ.
Hazards
<p>There are a power line and an antenna near the N of the hilltop; the SW face isn't overly steep and covered in gorse so keep glide to landing in mind if soaring; There are a pair of Wedgetail Eagles on the hill. They are usually friendly but have attacked in the past.</p>
